Account & Data Deletion

Ananta Chant — last updated 10.09.2026

You can delete your Ananta Chant account and its associated data at any time, either from inside the app or by emailing us. Your cloud data is also deleted automatically after 90 days of inactivity, described in its own section below. All three methods remove the same data.

Option 1: Delete In-App (Guest or Google account)

  1. Open Ananta Chant and go to the menu → Settings.
  2. Under Account, tap Delete my account.
  3. Confirm on the dialog that appears. If you signed in with Google some time ago, you may be asked to sign in again first, as a security check before a deletion this permanent.

Your account and its data are deleted immediately once you confirm — this cannot be undone.

Option 2: Request Deletion By Email

If you can't access the app (e.g. you no longer have the device), email balkrishnagames@gmail.com from the address or Google account associated with your Ananta Chant account, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll delete it and confirm by reply, typically within a few business days.

Option 3: Automatic Deletion After 90 Days of Inactivity

If you don't open the app or sign in for 90 consecutive days, we automatically and permanently delete the same cloud data listed below — you don't need to do anything for this to happen, and there's no way to opt out of it while keeping cloud features (leaderboard, groups, prayer requests) working, since those all depend on the same account.

What Gets Deleted

The same data is removed whether you delete in-app, request deletion by email, or your account is auto-deleted after 90 days of inactivity:

DataDeleted?
Account/profile (Guest ID or Google sign-in link, display name)Yes
Leaderboard entries (your lifetime chant totals shown publicly)Yes
Prayer requests you posted, and donations you made to others' requestsYes
Group memberships and groups you createdYes
Chant counts, streaks, mala history stored locally on your deviceNot affected — this data lives only on your device and isn't tied to your account; uninstalling the app removes it

See our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions for more on what data we collect and why.
