These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Ananta Chant app ("the App", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

1. The Service

Ananta Chant is a mantra-chanting and japa-counting app with optional social features: a global leaderboard, groups, and prayer requests that other signed-in users can contribute chants to. Core counting features work fully offline and locally on your device; the social features require signing in (as a Guest or with Google) and an internet connection.

2. Accounts

You can use the App as a Guest (an anonymous account ID, no personal information) or by signing in with Google.
You're responsible for keeping access to your account (e.g. the device a Guest account is tied to, or your Google account).
You agree to provide accurate information where the App asks for it (e.g. a display name) and not to impersonate another person.

3. Acceptable Use

When using groups and prayer requests, you agree not to:

Post content that is abusive, harassing, hateful, obscene, or unlawful.
Misrepresent your chant counts or donations, or otherwise attempt to manipulate leaderboards, groups, or requests in bad faith.
Use the App to spam, advertise, or solicit other users.

We may remove content or restrict/terminate access for accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Chant Counts, Donations & Contributions

Chant counts you log are self-tracked by the App on your device. When you donate or contribute chants to another user's prayer request or a group challenge, the App only lets you donate up to what your own logged practice history actually shows as available for that mantra — this is a good-faith feature to support others' prayers, not a guarantee or independent verification of spiritual practice.

5. Your Data

See our Privacy Policy for what data we collect and how it's stored. In short: locally-stored chant data stays on your device; a limited subset (display name, lifetime totals, and content you post to groups/requests) is stored in our cloud database if you're signed in. You can delete your account and this cloud data at any time — see Account & Data Deletion.

90-day inactivity deletion: if you don't open or sign in to the App for 90 consecutive days, your cloud-stored account data is automatically and permanently deleted. See Account & Data Deletion for details.

6. Advertising

The App shows ads served through Google AdMob. Ad content is provided by Google and its advertising partners, not by us, and we're not responsible for the content of third-party ads.

7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Ananta Chant is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It is a personal practice tool, not medical, legal, financial, or spiritual professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
